Ondřej Dvořák: Wicked Wisdom
In this Wicked & Agile Interview, I had the chance to speak with Agile Coach and CEO Ondřej Dvořák about UA.Support, an international pro bono platform that links Ukrainian refugees requesting legal help with appropriate lawyers. We talked about the impact it has had in aiding those affected by the Ukraine war and how Ondřej used agility to achieve the impact of UA.Support and those it serves.
Of the many standout wisdoms and nuggets of experiences that Ondřej shared, there were two that stood out to me. As he was working to build a network of volunteer lawyers, he was working with the Bar Association – a very old institution with its own bureaucracy which provided challenges and ultimately, he decided to work without it in order to get where he is today. This reminds me of how difficult it can be to change some organizations.
As well, Ondřej started his own passion in the area that he could influence; he was already working in the law space as a part of his company AgiLawyer and he had a passion to help with the Ukraine War – and so he did, making a large impact with 250 volunteer lawyers now working with him.
